So on my 16' flat bed trailer, the jack (screw style) is in the center of the tongue so when its connected to truck, the tailgate hits the top of the jack handle, so I sectioned it 4" to get it lowered and now it clears the tailgate when connected. Now I have another 16' enclosed trailer and the tailgate hits it even more. Anybody else with this problem? Should I just go with a side mount swivel jack? Thanks.
