I installed a Prodigy on my 2007 CM. I installed it under the dash on the right side though. Took me a 1/2 hour to install. Works like a champ. Wire diagram that come with the toyota harness helped a lot.

I did it the same as o7tundra@10k. Here are a few more shots for those of you who are wondering. Whats nice is the adapter fits there perfect. Some people put it in the cubby in front of the cupholders, but you have to splice and you can't reach it there. By the tow haul button is the best spot. I hate hitting my knee on the old truck when its on the dash.

o7tundra@10k, Might be moving back to the area, seeing your shot of the aspens in the background makes me jealous. My Mom lives in Ridgway and just played some places for bluegrass, said it was great. Coming out in 3 weeks to get my shell from a guy after he gets off the river, in Moab (long story). Need to come scout it out before I move, selling the house.

Anyway you can see the adapter coming out on the left and tow/haul on the right.

You can see where i grounded it...

Just a little filing so it doesn't warp the plastic and fit too sung...

I was going to saftey wire it, but it didn't need it (cut it)....

Done...

Hey one thing I noticed.....I didnt take anything apart other than taking off the kick panel. I used the ground lug right at the front of the kick panel area.

Recent buy of 2007. No wiring harness found on truck. If I can't get one off the dealer, which socket is used for the connection? I may have to wire into that wiring. I have an older controller, but it works find on chevies

It's a white plug behind the e brake, pretty visible. If you have a tow package you have it for sure. But they all might come prewired.

If you buy the prodigy you can purchase the correct harness from the trailer place that will plug right on with NO cutting or crimping needed.

Prodogy p3 all the way. Just plug and play. Comes with truck specific harness for about 10 bucks extra. A ten to fifteen minute install...tops...

Anyone just had the toyota OEM brake controller installed? My dealer quoted 277 for the controller and the install. Seems a bit much.

That's to much. Just buy one pre-wired for the Toyota and install it yourself. They take about 10 minutes to install. You can get a good controller for $100 to $140.

The Prodigy is such an easy install and if you want to shop it online you can find them for about 99 bucks plus another 10-12 for the toyota harness....or I was in a hurry and I paid 144 from the local trailer place plus the harness. It was so easy to install I couldnt believe that was all there was to it!!
