Lot's of guys have installed CAI's and exhaust for a performance boost. Others have installed suspension upgrades like Super Springs, TRD sway bar or air bags. If your going to tow a larger trailer with brakes you will need a brake controller. Prodigy seems to the be best on the market. I have a Valley Journey HD timed brake controller that works just fine. My truck is stock in the power and suspension area and I have no trouble towing a 25' TT camper without an equalizer hitch. I am thinking of installing Super Springs or a TRD sway bar but it's not on the top of my priority list at this time.

I agree with the brake controller and air bags. Really makes a big difference with larger/heavier trailers.

Do your research if you plan to use CAI/exhaust mods. Many of them will boost high-RPM horsepower at the expense of low-end torque...and low-end torque is the most important thing when it comes to towing.
