I wish I could say that I had the slowest fountain of all my friends. Just getting one would be a start. Guess I gotta start saving.

I feel ya on the fuel, I hold 205 gallons and with a couple of 525's so fuel can go away fast, especially if you are leaning on the fun sticks That is the main reason why it only comes out a few times a year. I happen to be lucky and co-own it with a really good friend so that helps offset some of the cost. I wish we had a trailer for it, I am sure it would look good behind my silver DC.

Glad you were towing with a DC....not sure the CM would've handled that
Now that's a Kick-Ass boat!

That pic is awesome. You don't see many boats that size behind anything with a gas engine, much less a non HD truck. Nearly hard to believe. Looks great!

jtruck618,

The T.T DC is not considered a HD truck..That is correct.. It would be better if it came with 1 extra leaf spring. If you notice in the pic the nose of the boat (tongue) weight was down a bit...It still tracked fine..minimal sway at 70 mph..Never had to put the peddle to the metal to get up to 70...and I rarely used tow haul mode except when i was approching a steep hill...This was the longest tow trip for me...I also was concerned about towing this size boat with the tundra on such a far trip.. The dealership saw my pictures before I bought the truck.. They said not a problem.. and i guess they were right..

Very Impressed

So you don't use the tow/haul mode at all times? Maybe it works different in the Tundra. I use it in my Silverado when pulling any load. I hit the button and it shifts different, holds higher RPM before shifting up to next gear. When I hit an upward slope, it slightly increases RPM and does not downshift to the lower gear as would a truck without Tow/Haul. Is there an advantage to not have it activated at all times? When Im cruising at highway speeds, the truck runs the same as it would anytime, unless a slope or something of the such. I have an old clunking 4 speed tranny though, maybe it is different with the Tundra's 6 speed.

At the risk of this pic winning the "May truck of the month contest", guy's and gal's take a look at need4speed's awsome set up!
Wow , Nice boat ! Which one gets the better MPG ? LOL !

I tried different things to get the best MPG's for the trip home.. The tundra seemed to keep steady speeds without the tow/haul mode activated.. I used it only when going up a steep hill to keep the rpm's up... The Tundra also has a built in tranny brake system.. It is activated whenever you step on the brakes while going down a steep hill...You don't have to be towing anything for this to work.. Nice feature
