has anyone use these motorcylce carriers that go in the back of the hitch i have a gsxr 750 and i was wondering if it was stable and could handle it

I bought the cheep one from Pep Boys. I ended up taking it back. It was a HUGE piece of POP! It even had a sticker on it that said not for motercycles?

Joe Hauler makes one of the best ones out there but I'm just not sure about puttin a heavy bike like that on any hitch rack. Careful bro, a buddy of mine was commin up to the dez for a ride one weekend and he said someone pulled up next to him on the Cajon pass and pointed to the back of his truck so he pulled over to find his WR250 had fallen off the hitch rack and was hanging on by a foot peg dragging. This weekend, I was able to bring home a new Double Cab (2008). Now onto gettting the way I want it!

I will be looking to haul my street bike in bed. I have a pretty large & heavy bike. Can I ask how others have done it? Wheel Chuck? Tiedowns? Straps, etc...?? I have an enclosed trailer that I have been using behind wife SUV, but now that I have this truck, I would prefer to use the trailer only when necessary.

Welcome to a great site for info on your sweet new ride bro. Ya besides a hitch rack just doesn't look right on a truck does it. Hey man you might wanna do a search on this site regarding problems people were having with cracking tail gates due to excessive weight. All you would need is a ramp or two and some tie downs.

Great...cracking tail gates? That sounds interesting! I will look into that. I have been reading a lot on these few forums this past weekend. I can see where this will get me into trouble!! I already started a list of things I want to try, buy, change, upgrade, etc......The wife is already on the edge of sanity with the truck purchase. I guess I am trying to send her over the tops with extras!!!

only when you put too much weight on the tailgate .. guys with like snowmobiles (all the weight in the back) are having issues

yeah i didnt like the idea of putting my bike on the hitch either just wondering what it was and i am more scared of some dumbass on the street running into my bike and my truck all in one shot i would cry like a baby

I've got a motorcycle hitch hauler and I love it. My dirt bike fits perfectly, and you forget it's back there. Doesn't seem to change the gas mileage either.

+1. My bike weighs about 300lbs. I use a read ramp which dubs as a bed extender to load the bike on and off...
