My .jpg of the harness won't upload.

Are there non-heated tow mirrors? Does anyone have pics of the harness to post?

i am yet to see non-heated tow mirrors.

if your truck doesnt have heated mirrors .. you can still buy the tow mirrors, the harness will be the same .. just the heat function will not work

I don't think the turn signals will work that are built into the mirrors either. Toyota parts said the harness was different, but they didn't have a mirror in stock to compare. I'm fine if the heat doesn't work, but the turn signals being there and not working would drive me a little nuts I think. I COULD wire that myself (again, Toyota parts said they would not do it), but then I'd have to pull the whole door panel off. Here's my harness.

I think that the harness is pre-wired on certain Tundra grade. I swapped out my sports mirrors w/o heat for tow mirrors and the only thing that work is the power adjust. It drives me crazy to not have all features on the tow mirrors working. I'm thinking of just wiring it myself when I have some time this summer.

So the harness worked/matched, just didn't have all the wires for the turn signal and heat - is that what you're saying?

If that's the case, it may be worth it. I'm tired of backing my trailer with the standard mirrors...

i heard a rumor from my local toyota dealer that toyota was supposed to come out with a tow mirror kit so that you can swap out your old sport mirrors with the tow ones. i was going to have them put the tow ones on my truck when i bought it and they told me to wait till the kit comes out. not sure how much truth is to that, but thats what they tell me. i have a tundra grade model and i pulled off the cover behing the mirror and my plug has atleast 8 wires in it so hopefully when i get my tow mirrors all the options work.

heard a rumor?

ANY dealership sells the tow mirrors seperately and SEVERAL people on these forums have swapped out their sport mirrors for tow mirrors, such as myself.

check on eBay

and if you have several wires, all options will work on the tow mirrors including blinker, power and heat.

i know that they sell them now at the dealer, they just suggested i wait till they came out with a kit thats supposedly a lil cheaper than buying each one seperatly. i doubt i can wait that long, it sucks backing trailers up with the sports mirrors, that will prob be on my christmas wish list!!
