1st off: GREAT SITE.
I just purchased an 08 Tundra Crew cab 4x4. So far (206miles) I love the truck, definitely the best riding and nicest interior truck I have ever owned. Question is, I will be pulling a 4 place enclosed snowmobile trailer from time to time. Did I miss the boat by not getting the TRD off road package? Will it make that much of a deference when towing? Thanks for the feedback. |

I could be wrong, but I don't really think the TRD package would be a factor when towing. In my opinion you should be fine. The TRD package may only be of assistance if you are heading off road with trailer in tow. However, even then I strongly suspect your non-TRD Tundra will do just fine!

I haven't done any side by side comparisons, but I doubt it would be a factor. Your tow package and your towing capacity will be what matters, when it comes to towing.
The other day I saw a Tundra with the Sport package. It had a hitch ball on the bumper. Now that would really make a difference, when it came to towing.
