Hey Guys,
I've searched around a bit but can't find the exact answer to my question.

Here's my setup.
2005 DC Limited w/Towing Package, break controller, WDH and sway control.

My truck is rated to tow 6500 lbs

I currently tow a smaller camper that weighs only 3500 lbs loaded and the truck pulls it no problem.

Here's what I want to tow.

KZ Spree Showstopper Camper
27 Foot Length
UVW 4480 lb
Cargo 1520 lb
GVWR 6000 lb

I've heard/read in some places that you should only tow at 80% capacity. Am I crazy for wanting to tow 6000 lbs? I do live in Colorado and travel to the mountains for camping but the hills aren't anything too crazy where I go.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Do it! You would have to load a lot of stuff in there to hit the 6000 lb total weight capacity. I think if you loaded conservatively, you would be around 6-700 lbs with cargo, propane, and battery. Should be close to the 80% safety margin. If you fill the potable water tank, that will add another 350 lbs.
