Slide in camper

Any one have a truck camper on a new Tundra. If so how does it handle? Pics would be cool too. Thanks, Scott

There is a guy on Tundrasolution with a slide-in on his double cab. You could go there and do a search.

How heavy? These things are fairly light, aren't they? I would suspect an aerodynamics issue, but not a performance issue.

I'm looking into the popup style so drag shouldnt be to bad. The Northstar TC800 model is 1490 lbs and the 4 wheel drive brand is under 1000 lbs (I think)

I don't see a problem. I have hauled 1800+ lbs and did not see much of a difference. Although, you loose alot of spring from this weight. I would probable look at air shocks if you were going to haul the 1500 lb job any distance.
I wish they would have put heavier springs underneath these things..
