Finally ordered the 6112s/5160s!!!

Well i finally made up my mind im going wih the 6112s on the top setting and 5160s in back with my Toytec shackles which are already installed. Will be bumping them up to there highest setting tho. Then once my bfgs wear out ill be ordering 295/70r 18 nitto ridge grapplers. Also for those of you who are on the fence i found the 6112s at Streetside auto for $549 and the 5160s at ajusa for $324. So total they were $873. Thats not bad at all. Anyway ill post pics once i get them all installed going to attempt to do it myself!

F&$king baller !
I would have like to have gotten the same, but up here the 6112's alone would have run me around $1K and they would be overkill for me.

Get them in and don't re-think your choice.
I'm trying to unload my old lift struts/shocks for $50 online, but I think the surface rust might deter buyers....either that or they will be in the recycle depot metal bin.....

I'm rocking the exact same setup minus the 5160's (I've got 5100's). Couldn't be happier with it. Are you doing a carrier bearing drop? If so whats the spacer on that? 3/4"? I fashioned my own but am still getting vibrations around 50-60mph.

I have the toytec shackles also and i installed the Toytec brand carrier bearing drop and i dont have any issues. Im not sure how thick it is. I plan to also install a front diff drop once i get the 6112s and 5160s installed.

A little update Ajusa emailed me saying they only had 1 5160 in stock amd they are backordered tell early to mid May. So i ended up cancelling that order and reordering the 5160s from 4wheelparts.

Well got the 5160s on no problem. My new problem is i got the 6112s installed on max setting and the alignment guy says he will have the tires straight but i am maxed out on everything. So thats not good. Dont really want to buy ucas. Should have prob listened to @theoat advice. May have to take them back off and drop down a notch idk. Illl have to see how it drives when they get it done. Sucks seems like some trucks sre fine and others are not.

Like I said, I think it's a bit of the techs ability & variance between trucks but a lot of subjective interpretation of what drives "acceptably".

Seems strange that you were able to get a good alignment with the Pro Comp shocks at the same 2.5" lift and now there are issues with the Bilsteins. Same shop that aligned it before?

Just wondering if you could fit spring compressors on the spring while the shock is still installed and compress it enough to slide the spring seat up and move the snap ring down one notch.

Well i gained about 3/4" more than the pro comps were giving me. So i drove it home and it rides like complete shit im actually kinda concerned about the way it steers. So tomorrow its going in to SDHQ and im having them check it out but i think im just going to have them set the 6112s at the 1.9" setting basically one notch less than the highest setting. My wife would like to cut my balls off right now. I figure ill set it there which is where the trd pro rides approximately and leave it be . Then i will regain my ride back.
