Ordered 2.5'' Leveling Kit for 15' 2wd
As the title states I went ahead and did it. The wifey gave me a nice little v-day gift (CASH
) and told me to order a 2.5" leveling kit to give the truck the stance it deserves. I ordered on Amazon and went with the Supreme Suspensions kit. I like the idea of a solid cnc-machined piece to sit on top of the shock in place of shim-like kits that I saw. Unfortunately I only have a 2wd but I wouldn't have much use of a 4x4 anyways.
Should arrive at the house in another week/two and looking forward to getting them installed. I'll be putting them in myself. To those that have done a self-install I have a couple of questions.
I plan on using floor jacks that I can get up to 22" safely (6 ton capacity on each), will that be enough clearance to remove the strut assembly from below once I drop the lower control arm? This is the only thing that really concerns me. From the videos and installation instructions I've read it seems like a pretty straight-forward bolt-on.
If you have any other good advice for the install feel free to add it to the discussion. Much appreciated.
