I will be installing king OEM Performance coilovers in the next couple of days on my 2014 Platinum. I want to adjust for the tundra lean. After reading multiple threads, I think what I'm going to do is adjust the drivers side coilover 1/2" higher.
Does this sound right to everyone?
I will keep the passenger side at the stock hieght the coilover came at (8 threads showing) 2-2.5". And crank the drivers side 2.5 turns to 2.5-3".
When I measure all four sides of my truck on level ground with stock suspension.
DF & PF are level
DB is 1/2 lower then PB
Do the shocks already come pre-adjusted for 3" of lift out of the box? My brothers 2.5 Fox Shocks w/remote resi had to be completely readjusted. I would say try to get 0.25" to 0.375" more lift on the driver coilover compared to the passenger unless youre running more weight on the driver side larger gas tank, gas tank skid, toolbox, etc.
Okay. He adjusts them all the time but the last time I rode in it it was set at 2.75" of lift and it literally feels like riding on clouds I was very impressed especially running OME 613 on my tuck. FYI he drives a 2016 Tacoma. I would love to switch to FOX or ADS shocks but what I do slow rock crawling technical trails I wouldn't even come close to benefiting from them so can justify the paying double for them when OME are rock solid and perfect for what I do since Im running 1000 lbs. over curb weight of aftermarket parts.
I'm hopefully putting the front coilovers on tomorrow and still am going back and forth between 1/4"-1/2" of extra lift on the drivers side. I think my best bet is to take your advise of 3/8" and see where I'm at and then in the future I can adjust accordingly.

If your driver and passenger front are level already you're doing well. Adjusting the driver front higher is not going to help the rear. Chances are your driver rear is sagging a bit just because of the gas tank. Most people who have the lean are 1/2"-3/4" low in the driver front and therefore also the driver rear. If this was the case. Putting a jack under the driver side tow hook and jacking it up slightly would show you how much more lift you would need to correct it. Lowering the passenger front will also help driver rear to come up. But really if it's just your driver rear I wouldn't mess with it too much.
If it stays the way it is when I put in the coilovers then I would be very happy. The reason I'm worried is I have read other threads where ppl put in coilovers and a problem that didn't exist before or was minimal was noticeable after the coilovers were put in.
I'm putting these in tomorrow so I will measure one more time and then make a game time decision. I can always adjust them if a problem arises.
The kings should definitely come adjusted differently for driver and passenger due to the weight differences pre-existing in the truck. If not, just adjust them until it is like it is now. You'll be fine. Good luck
So I put in the new suspension on Saturday, all four corners got upgraded. I did not compensate for anything. I just put them in as they came. The front coilovers had 8 threads showing on each side.

Yes. Raising the driver front would lower passenger rear or help to raise driver rear slightly closer to passenger rear. I'm just not sure how you got lift in the rear with just shocks...
I was thinking that was a possibility but since you hadn't said anything about tires I wasn't sure. 1" in tire height would actually be 1/2" of fender height so that would make sense for driver rear. Crank that driver coil a little bit and you should be good. But definitely be prepared to have it settle more. You probably want to have your alignment checked again in 1k-3k miles depending on how hard you run it. I tried to stretch mine before I went back to have the alignment checked again
Just put a floor jack underneath your front driver coilover and measure the distance change on your front driver side to balance out your rear passenger side. I can promise raising your front driver side 0.25" will not equal 0.25" of drop in the rear for me it was 0.25" lift up front dropped the passenger rear 0.5"
also have an offroad shop check your nitrogen levels, alot of times the king and fox coilovers ship low on the nitrogen charge...you want 150-200psi in each resi.
