Shackle Advice

Can anyone comment on the Maxtrac 1" Rear Shackle?

I have the RC 3" front , only running 2.5" now ... but new tire time is coming and its time to go to a 3/1.

I ran across the Maxtrac 1" shackles and they are cheaper than most 1" block kits.

Other than the random exhaust issues is there any reason not to do this?

I know I will get a lot of flack over this. But I don't want to spend the money on the CB's,
then turn around and tell the boss I am spending $1300
for the tires.

She understands the tire cost, but she also knows there are different levels of lift components to.

I don't know anything about the maxtrac shackles but I can tell you the CB shackles are like the CST spindles they are the strongest one the market and the ride is so much better. Good luck with your choice.

Maxtrac looks more stock to me. Coachbuiler shackles look much beefier.

Just show "the boss" the pictures above and ask her which one she prefers to have to carry around your family, especially if you tow. If you can't afford the @Coachbuilder1 shackles then it is what it is and I certainly won't give you grief about that.

I honestly don't know anything about the Maxtrac shackles so I cannot comment much on them, however, they do look exactly like stock. I got my shackles, poly bushings, airbag spacers and coil shims all from David (coachbuilder1) so I can attest to the quality of his work, which is nothing short of perfect. To boot, David is literally the nicest guy you will EVER talk to and personally, I like knowing that I am supporting a dedicated family man and small business owner who takes the utmost pride in his work, fully appreciates his customers and also is an active member of the Tundra Talk community. If I lived closer to David I would be bankrupt having him build all of the cool stuff I want but that is cost prohibitive to ship.

If you can afford his shackles but are just not wanting to spend the extra coin, reconsider. If the money is a real issue and you just need extended length shackles then I am sure the Maxtrac's will be alright.

Hey David you got any of those new scratch and dent tie rods ends I have been bugging you about. LOL.

But really once you see Coachbuilder products in person the pictures don't do them the justice they deserve.

I called Daivd up one day and told him about my drive shaft being short after my lift he calls me back a couple of days later and says I will have you a spacer ready in a couple of days. Perfect fit and driveshaft back right were it should be before the lift. He is a stand up guy and builds quality products.

Obviously I cant say enough about this man. I mean, the da-um things are already in the mail!

I tried to pay shipping costs, but all David wanted was some "word of mouth" advertising... And to
let me know that if there was anything else he can help me with, not to hesitate to call.

I already knew these are an awesome product. But you never really know how awesome the man is
until see something like this.

Thanks again David.

I feel like I won an award or something. Thanks again to ALL you guys.

Guess I will have to come over when you get them so I can decide what to get myself. I talked to David about shackles but am still on the fence of how I want to lift mine.

David - What else is on that scratch and dent shelf?

Its very rare to have anything in the S/D area but do from time to time. Since moving over to Billet the machined parts are coming out flawless
Let me know if I can help.

I'm doing my best to wait for our steering parts to come back from zinc plating but am getting antsy too! Shouldn't be much longer and will have pics and updates posted up. Thank for posting I appreciate it!
