Thinking about doing mine, just in the rear to level the truck. Maybe upgrade the anti sway in the front. Still in the research phase, was wondering the range of drop on that kit? Also, I thought it was an axle swap kit to move it above the leaf springs. I'm not seeing how you can get a drop with the axle in the same place. Do they do something with the leaf springs?
I don't have TRD but do have 4WD. Didn't get it to go off road. When it rains or rarely snows you are screwed on some roads without 4WD. 90% of the time I'm on paved roads, without a load. Lowering makes sense to me for my situation. Better handling, ride, potential MPG savings and can still get out of a muddy ditch.
I just got my 2014 Tundra 1794 Crewmax and I definitely don't like all that space in the wheel wells. This lowering stuff is all new to me so forgive my ignorance but can anyone tell me exactly what I need to level out the front and rear to get rid of a lot of that dead space (although I won't do it myself) and approximately how much a project like this would cost.
There are a lot of kits out that can fit your 2014 since there was no change in suspension from 2007-2013 (correct me if I'm wrong). If you are 4x4, your only option is a 2/4 drop kit (TR2040 from Tundra Racing). Tundra racing seems to be a popular kit which is easy on the pocket and pretty good quality kit. They also have airbag kits that can work with their drop kit.
other options are DJM kits; Mcgaughy kit; TRD, belltech. Any of these kits will work, it all depends how deep your pockets are.

Most are axle flip kits for the rear with a few lowering leaf spring options. However, there are a whole lot of options for the front to include: coil perch drops, drop coils, spindles, LCAs, or shocks. All have benefits and disadvantages depending on how low u want to go. There very well might be more options out there but I know these are the popular ones...
Yes. I will be installing everything myself. I have a "buddy" that works at a shop and I'm trying to get him to let me use his lifts. Not gonna hold my breath. He's one of those guys that is cool while you're in his face but he kinda that guys that says, "outta sight-outta mind". So he forgets about his "friends" often.
I shot him a text and he hasn't responded, which I was expecting. I live by that hence my tattoos.
Where are you located at? Maybe there are some peps on here willing to give you a hand...
Looking forward to seeing pics. Don't forget to take measurements before and after all the way around. I did mine by myself in my driveway... Take a little longer but it is manageable.
Then you got the TRD 06 and older Tundra shocks. Those are the ones required for the TR lowering kit because the length is correct. The ones that are RED/BLUE are the ones for the 07-14 Tundra that are stock height or have the TRD 4" lowering leaf springs only. Looks like ill be ordering the TRD shocks from TR this week most likely. Thanks!

It would be nice if the lower suspension had its own section, away from the raise to the sky section.. This would save time and clicking workout searching...
