I was looking at possibly upgrading to the above setup. I am currently running the procomp 3/1 level kit and it seems fine. But I like the idea of a bit better quality lift, so I thought this may be a fit.
I would like something around 4" of lift that wouldn't require any cutting or welding. The truck doesnt go offroad, intentionally at least. and I do use it for towing the travel trailer.
would I really gain anything by upgrading to the above kit? I would like to get another inch or so of lift over my current setup.
what are the chance someone has a ultimate kit sitting around they would like to sell? because the $1200 for a new kit seems pretty expensive.
You'd gain another 1-1.5".
If you want a 4" lift w/o cutting the crossmember and are 4X4 your choices are Pro Comp 4" (which requires 20" wheels) or the Rough Country 4.5" lift.
I have the platinum, so I am running the 20" rims already. Would I get 1-1.5" more than my pro comp 3/1 level kit, I thought I would only get at most 1/2 inch...
Both use drop brackets and the spacers and I would verify with Pro Comp to see if your stock 20's will work with the lift.
There was talk of Pro Comp coming out with a stage 2 with coilovers for their 4" lift, but I'd hate to see the price on that.
