Hi everyone! AutoGuide.com has partnered with Toyota Tundra Engineers to bring you something fun and unique.

On November 6th, AutoGuide.com Editorial Director Colum Wood will be meeting with the Toyota Tundra Chief Engineer Mike Sweers for a Q&A session during the SEMA Show to talk about the 2014 Tundra.

Colum will be interviewing Mike on camera at SEMA and will put a selection of YOUR questions to him.

To submit your question, simply ask it below before October 31st.

The finished video will be edited (as quickly as possible) and we'll be sure to share it with you.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to see what you can come up with.

Just a List

Love the new Tundra, it is a great step up for me much better than the Ford(s).

No real questions, just a list.

My list of what is needed for future product improvements:

Key Pad on Door: I am outdoors all the time; the Key Pad is a tremendous time saver….It is the first thing and “only” thing I miss from the Ford(s).

The new interiors are great and very comfortable, however there needs to be just a little bit more finesse with the nice stuff. Examples: 1) Full 12 way power seats both sides on top two trim levels and an option on the Limited. 2) Better finishing on the edges and bottom plastic parts on the steering wheel. Make that plastic smooth like it is on the top of the steering wheel. Tactile feedback and first impressions are important; the big wide gaps along the bottom edge of the steering wheel do not give a good impression. 3) Full time display of both clock and outside temp at all times. 4) Provide more data in the multi-information display, not just one item per screen. 4) Perhaps “Pad Out” the “top” of the dash in the top two trim levels, and better embossing on the Limited.

The Tundra power train for me is better than the other three brands for a lot of reasons. All the tranny ratios through the differential are 100% perfect for all my driving requirements.

Here is what I do not what on a truck – “Intercooler” I never want to go down that road again.

Still trying to think of some real serious questions….I just don’t have any; I pretty much like it “all” just the way it is.

Why no eLocker? No "dancing around" the answer either like the one given on THQ. Every other truck manufacturer offers one except Toyota. The G80 GM offers is only a $400 option. The only option for 2nd and 3rd gen Tundra owners is ARB for $1500 (rear only). Granted the ARB is more durable than the GM product, but it is also a much expensive solution too.

Now, I would like to point out that there is a lot to like about the Tundra! So, please don't get the impression that I'm not a happy camper--I just want a selectable locker to make the truck perfect.

It's the question everyone wants to know!

Why is the truck 1" lower on the drivers side?

I'd like to know if Toyota will ever consider making the regular cab with the 6.5' bed and some nice option packages again. There are several of us on the forum that would have bought a 2014 if they hadn't discontinued the RCSB.

Need to add projector or led headlights, auto up/down on all windows on the higher trim levels, the little convex mirrors on all trim levels for safer driving, one tap blinkers, other dash guage color options, more and better placed interior lighting, it's a freaking cavern in the crewmax and it's dark inside with the dome lights on in many areas. Passenger floor at lock downs.

I can't help but notice it was "ask any ? about the 2014" and only the Great Clam correctly asked a question. It's "Question and Answer" not "Demand and Comply"

That being said, here are my questions:

1. Why did Toyota decide to remove the reclining/sliding feature in the 2014 crewmax rear seats, one of the features separating it from other brand crew cabs?

2. Can the 2014 dash/instrument panel be easily modified to fit in 2nd Gen?

power steering issues?

this may have been answered already...but have they come up with a "real" reason for exploding racks? if so has the problem "really" been corrected?

Rumor has it creos truck sits about 5 inches lower on the drivers side?

On a serious note though drivetrain changes. I'm not asking for any specific info like diesel or new motor size, just wanting to know if we can expect a change sometime in the near future.

I'm not sure if it's true. I haven't sat inside a 2014 yet. My question goes with $h@ki. Why change the rear seating and why did you get rid of the rear window going down and up on a CM? I always drive with all 5 windows down and sunroof opened. If you got rid of the rear window dropping down and going up I WILL NOT BUY A NEW 2014.

Next question is next years 2015 will it come with a 8 speed transmission?

They did? I thought they still roll down. Can someone with 2014 CM confirm this?

Finally saw a pic showing it. Sorry $h@ki. Like I said never been in one so I don't know. Now someone sent a pic of it. The thing is I looked at a 1791 today and I didn't notice it. What I noticed was the $49,750 dollar price. Ridiculous! Not to mention this $4,000 for location fee.
