I just thought I would start this thread because there isn't a real dedicated one for 2014 pricing. I'm actually going to build mine and have it shipped up here since there is only one dealership in Alaska. I'm looking at a Black CrewMax 5.7L SR5 (w/ upgraded SR5 package). Anyway, just curious what everyone is paying for theirs!
I thought about the TRD OffRoad package but I figured I may as well save the money since I was going to replace everything eventually anyway when I get it lifted. I think I'm going to put my down-payment down tomorrow and be forced to wait 6-8 weeks for it to get here
No doubt....what are these guys?lawyers?Dentists?do they live in this thing er what?and then spend another $15000 in mods and sh!t.Hence the high divorce rate of Tundra owners I reckon.....lol
45k? Naa that's a limited well optioned. Almost 44k invoice price on well optioned limiteds. Or it's some other limited in double cab well optioned.
46,250 is invoice on a platinum with blind spot monitor. No way they let that go for 45k unless he got no options and the dealer sold it for invoice, still add tax and its 50k no matter how you slice it.
This price is similar to Platinum F150.
Personally, if your spending 44k for a limited, you might as well step up 3k more for platinum.
I got $2500 off MSRP ($240 over invoice). $45,690 sticker. No $1000 rebate here in So Cal. Lot's of dealers didn't want to budge much since the truck just came out and are flying off lots here in So. Cal if its a good build. Dealer I picked it up at is #1 Toyota Truck dealer in the US so they had plenty of inventory and were willing more so to budge.
That's exactly what I am getting, but I had to order mine and I couldn't negotiate since they didn't have the invoice for it, sadly I agreed on $37.5 I knew walking out I got screwed but didn't know by how much... $2k is quite a bit lol.
Oh wait, you got the 4x2? Nevermind then, I went 4x4
@ burningcoals. There is a 1k rebate in my market and considering holdback, finance dough, and all the other BS markup they now put in "invoice" price along with the fact that dealers get a rebate/tax credit every time they sell a FFV (which mine is) it is a fair price. Ive also purchased 5 trucks from the same dealer group in the last 24 months. I think that its fair for both parties.
Got it from crown Toyota in Ontario. #1 selling Toyota truck dealer in US and had a ton with all types of builds.. Carlsbad and Escondido had a couple trucks also.
Yeah, originally they wanted $38,584 for the upgraded SR5 CM (no other options), but got them down to $37,800 (before $1000 rebate and taxes), not a HUGE deal but it was exactly what I wanted so I settled on the price.
I don't understand this line of thinking. The trucks these days offer a lot more then they did 10-15 years ago. You can still get a base model truck if you want it and be paying under $30k. Who wants that these days?
Factor in the fact that these $40k-$50k trucks come with leather, nav, sunroof, MANY more safety features. Then it's not unreasonable to $40-$50k. That's before we factor in inflation.
Anyways, not trying to offend anyone. It's just that I don't understand that line of thinking.
I got my 14 GG CM TRD w/ Navi, 100K extended warranty and a couple other little stealer added goodies, for 35,150 through my credit union here in cali. After taxes and everything else im paying just under 40K OTD, think i got a pretty decent deal
No sand in SoCal? We can drive on the beach in parts of Florida and I have seen more than a few trucks stuck. Partly because the driver has no idea how to drive on sand and thinks gunning it is the way to get out of the soft stuff. The other part because they are putting a 6000lb+ 2wd truck in the soft stuff to begin with. I will get 4wd for the sand, clay in Georgia while I'm hunting, and slick boat ramps. And for the occasional mud I will go looking for.
IMO...4x4 is the way to go. Even if you do not use it, it will more than pay for itself in resale value a few years down the road.
