I just had my timing belt serviced an now the check engine light is on and I had advance auto read the code they said it was crankshaft sensor bank 1+2 would changeing the timing belt cause this what should I do
It could have or it could not have but you do unplug this sensor during the change also if the water pump was changed the wires are very close to the pump unless you remove the sensor.
Well if it came on as soon as you left where your belt was done id be heading back there odds your timing is off is slim to none pretty sure the 4.7 is interference.
I assume you have the V-8.
there is a crankshaft timing sensor plate behind the crank pulley under the plastic cover, the sensor plate is curved and if not installed correctly it will not line up over the sensor.
Bring it back to whoever changed the timing belt.
