100K Service

So, my 08 just hit 100K, and the local Toyota dealer offers the 100K service for $426. That's a lot of money to retorque the drive shaft bolts, fuel injection cleaner, throttle body cleaner, and some other things I can't remember. A lot of this can be done by myself. What are some of you using? Should I seafoam the intake or try some other products?

You right, that other stuff is DIY. I'm not a gear head, but I'm under the impression that fuel injectors don't really need expensive treatments...a cheap bottle of sumthin from autozone should do the trick.

Sounds like the dealer "100k service" is geared towards single women who give a shit about maintaining their vehicles (oxymoron)

Tranny is around 60-75k miles area. Now Radiator flush could be in order.

For my Lexus, the service was over $1k and they didn't even replace anything for that. Repairs were extra. Needless to say, they didn't get my money.
But don't go ragging on single women. Lots of guys are not set up, or want to do that stuff either. I've read where lots of people paid to get stuff installed on their truck that they could have done themselves. They only thing I had done was the remote starter and that was because I didn't have the programmer available.
These mileage checks are good for those that aren't gear heads. Better to pay for an expensive dealer profit maker than on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.

80,000-100,000 - SPARK PLUGS change, DRAIN 2 Gallons ANTIFREEZE AND PUT 2 BACK IN (Repeat every 2 years there after), rear diff drain and fill, power (RELACE fluid) steering and brake bleed and refill (if you believe in that).
AT THE DEALER ONLY TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH:I did my trans flush at 40,000 and will repeat at 80-100,000.
I don't know about flushing at 100,000. The safest would be 2-3 drain and refills at that mileage. Dealer should clue you in on HOW they replace trans fluid.
4x4 transfer case and front diff drain and refill.

I AM AT 67,000 MILES AND AT 80,000 SPARK PLUGS will be replaced for another 80,000.

PAYING FOR SOMEONE TO JUST LOOK AT SOMETHING should cost you nothing.
We should pay for actual work done, whether maintenance or repair.

Ask them cost for alacarte maintenance fees, meaning cost for plugs, trans flush (don't say service, that can mean many things and be specific), etc.
Cost for each service separate and discount for having 2 to 3 things done at same time.

Here was my 100k maintainance plan for my 2010 CM:
1. Remove gas cap and fill when empty
2. Change oil and filter with Mobil 1 every 10k
3. Replace tires when bald
4. Repeat steps 1,2 & 3 as needed
5. Replace Voliant air filter

There is a reason I shuck out my hard earned cash for Toyota products. To date I have four with the oldest having over 345k miles. All have the orginal transmission, differential, power steering and brake fluid. Spark plugs get changed at 150k or sooner if there is a miss.
