Tundra Down

Ok guys hopefully somebody here can help me. My kids dog decided he was bored, because its been raining, he crawls up under my tundra and chews all the rear abs sensor wires off. basically he leaves me a little bit of wire sticking out of the plugs on the sensor, and the main harness plug with is located under the bed. My question is this, the main plug has two black wires and two white wires. I need to know if the top pins operate the left side or the right side abs sensor, or if it even matters, I would really like to make a new harness and save my self about 70 bucks. anybody help?

Don't know what wire does what but think about this man - ABS and brakes are pretty important when it comes to safely stopping a 6,000 truck. Spend the 70 bucks, have a beer, and sleep well knowing you, your boy, and yes - even his dog ( your dog really) are safe. Just saying........

Fiance had a chocolate lab chew the main harness on her Sequoia -- both sides of the main connector that seperates front to rear halves. Did it - insurance paid. A week in shop. Get's it home -- next day, same thing. Believe it or not, insurance paid again. " Damn squirrels"

Dog got a new home that day.

Ok I don't feel so bad now. Got my under ground fence situation fixed. Dog try's to get to my vehicles. Dog gets shocked, thanks for the help coach. I ordered a new harness 70 bucks. I'll make me a temporary one. We just got a foot of snow, the tundra goes a lot better than my wife's liberty. A temporary fix will help till my harness comes in.

I soldered mine back together. Adheasive heat shrink tubing over the repair. The repair is better than the original.

I figured as vulnerable as these wires are, I wasn't gonna lose any sleep over wondering if I was messing with the reliability of the system. It doesn't take much to snag/break these wires, especially the ones in the back.

If I was to hazard a guess, it almost looked like they were designed to fail and give the repair shops some "gravy" work. Needless to say I was not to impressed with the engineering that went into this system (read: none).

OK so a quick update. Thanks to all the help I got I fixed my truck. I did order a new harness from a dealer in ohio which I ended up not needing. I emailed the dealer back and they said they don't accept returns on electronic items, even if it hasn't been opened. Now I'm stuck with a 90 dollar part I don't need.

Whats up with all these dogs chewing on wires? My neighbor's boxer always ventures into my driveway and crawls under my truck on those hot summer afternoons...Guess I"ll have to start a more keen eye on Bosco....
