Blew power steering pump seal

Cutting muddin donuts I blew the seal in my power steering pump. Had to fly straight to the car wash to get rid of evidence underneath the truck so Toyota could keep it under warranty.. Dont cut the wheel too far to one side

Updated as of September 9th: I got my truck back no pictures as requested because they were busy and the guy behind the counter was a real jerk. but anyway this is what it says on the service report.. "Power steering pump assy. front shaft has excessive clearance causing fluid leak from front seal assy 4444071 1.70 Removed and replaced power steering pump assy and cleaned fluid from vehicle. All o.k.

Materials replaced:
1 Pump Assy, Vane
1 Belt, V ribbed
1 Power steering fluid
1 Pressure Gasket

Sorry to hear about that. What side did you cut it to? Were you in 4x4?

Aw c-mon Dez you can't hold it against the truck. The man was clearly beating on the thing. Stuff happens when you abuse vehicles.

'sounds like a cool dealership. Stuff breaks when you thrash it... these ARE 1/2 ton pickups afterall...full-lock under high power has killed PS on many trucks. As for blowing a seal: it's illegal to approach / contact marine mammals...
