CHECK ENGINE light after refueling

Ok i have been bugged by this for like 4 months. Only happens after refueling about 7-10 miles later the Check Engine light comes on.

I know to check the gas cap have done this plenty of times, I reset the ECU (disconnect the negative, hit the brakes) and the light goes off then a couple of re-fuels later happens again.

I have not taken it in yet, still under warrenty of course, but i am wondering if anyone has experienced this.

crappy thing is I know it takes a whole 5 minutes to scan the car, but they want me to leave the truck all day, I ran a shop for 7 years, so I think it sucks that the truck needs to be there all day for a 5 minute scan

I'd say go buy a $10 gas cap .. i'd rather spend the $$ than deal with the hassle

usually I would, but i believe the cap is a special cap due to the "one click" deal and Toyota does not charge $10 for a gas cap

You may have one of those NASTY 400 codes.... Emissions... Yes it may suck leaving it all day...It will be under warranty but they will charge you for putting it on the computer to find the code....I don't agree with them on that and I fight it every chance I get... It's a warranted item that breaks and it's the only reason you're there so why should you be charged for them finding a warranted part that's broken????
