Hissing/whistle noise when slighting accelerating

Brand new truck, got some weird hissing/whistle noise if I barely apply pressure to the gas pedal. Took the truck to Toyota, engineers came out to review and said the noise was from the stock air box, it's the sound of air being sucked in. They reported that if I switched to a CAI, the noise will go away. WELL.... $400 later and a few extra horses, the noise is still there. WTF! Anyone else have this problem?

Need to drive with radio off, cruise at any speed and then slightly apply pressure to give it gas, just enough to raise your RPM's. Quite annoying if you drive sometimes with the radio off... I know I know.... leave the radio on but we all need some quite time especially after a hard days work.

Exhaust leak, vaccum leak, suction leak, air leak.... LOL all this was mentioned to Toyota and they could not find anything. Could hear it inside, but just blamed it on the stock airbox. It's been noted and is on record so if anything becomes of it, they better DAMN well cover it. oh well! I'll just keep the bass pumping in the cab.

I'd take it to another Toyota dealer and see what they say. I had the same problem on my old truck, 2002 tundra and it wound up being the manifold gasket. It had only 8,000 miles on it when it went bad. After that I traded it in with almost a 100,000 miles on it and never had that problem since. Hope they figure it out for ya !!!

It's air being sucked into the intake , and you will notice it more now that you installed a C.A.I . Nothing to worry about .

If it's not throwing any codes I wouldn't worry about it, personally. Running machines make noises.

Seems like I heard something similar, but ignored it. Next time I drive it I'll try to unignore it.
