strut problems

I have a 08 tundra with a 2.5" leveling kit that bolts on top of the strut.drove it two miles from home the right front strut sheared off about an inch above the mounting bracket on the front end. they brought me a camry to drive and said the warranty might not pay for it. the truck has 10,000 miles on it they told me friday the rearend is bad and i have seen it puff a big cloud of smoke a couple of times when i crank it. anyone having similar trouble?

1) Sounds like you got a crappy shop who installed your leveling kit wrong.

2) A big puff of smoke coming from your rearend?
