Beeping noise after parking truck...2002

Hi, I just purchased my 2002 tundra, and have a couple of questions I thought someone may know the answer to. The first thing I am trying to figure out is this issue I have when trying to lock the door after parking. Every once in a while when I park my truck and turn then engine off I will open the door and something will start beeping or dinging. If I just ignore it, i cannot lock the door with the remote, and haven't tried otherwise. If I turn the truck back on and move it to another spot, it usually won't do it again, and will let me lock it. I'm not sure if I missing something obvious or what, but does anyone have any suggestions for figuring this out?

Is your door switch(tells you when you leave your door open) going bad? Do the interior lights stay on when you close the door?
