Removed skid plate, got a problem. With pics!

Hey all, new to the forum and this is my first post. I removed my front skid plate today after she took some damage when i sunk in mud and hit dirt / mud / rock. I want to just leave the thing off til i get a new one, but as you can see, the front grey plastic part of the bumper doesn't bolt to anything.

It did go into these 3 grey clip/screw things but with the plate off it has nothing to connect to. I put my hand there just to show you how far the space is between the plastic parts and the metal, so I'm not pulling it down at all.

The damage sucks, but hell... Atleast you're using that Tundra the way it was meant to be. Offroading!

What kind of Tundra you got? Mods? Pics?

Welcome to the forum.

I noticed the gray clips hangin in the air too but only after my lift, I thought it was due to the lift but evedently not! Does your truck have a lift? If not it would have helped to prevent that damage!

I just remember it was due to my lift! They removed the skid plate when the lift was installed and didn't replace it cuz of some of the new fab work being in the way. I guess I'll have to rig something.

Both the clip and the framework above it have holes so how about a 6" piece of 3/8 threaded rod with 4 nuts and 4 washers for each clip. Otherwise those clips just flap in the wind don't they?

Deznutjob,

I don't know if they'll flap in the wind yet, i just removed it a little bit ago. But I ran out of rum, and need to make a beer-run, so I'll let you know asap!
