Thumbs down Maintenance Required Indicator Light

I am have a hard time re-setting the "Maintenance Required Indicator Light" I followed all steps that are listed in the "Owner Manual" and still can't clear the light. Does anyone here have the same problem or know how to do it? F.Y.I. I re-setted the light once before but it took forever....

You should have no problem doing it...

Make sure when you turn off the engine the odometer is in the regular total mileage mode. Not "a" or "b"

Push and hold down the mileage reset button while turning the key to the on position. (keep holding it down)

You will see a count down of five lines go down to zero and it will reset.

It should be quick and easy!

I just re-set mine this morning. My manual instructed me to put the odometer in the A mode and hold the re-set button down with the key in the acc position and then turn the key to the on position while still holding the
button down and after about 5 seconds the main reqd light will go off. It
worked for me.

I am going to have to do that during lunch today. I just hit 5k. I guess it is a pre-programmed reminder. Too bad I do mine every 3k so it doesn't do me any good.

That's not entirely true...after all, it will be correct at 15k, 30k, 45k, 60k, 75k, etc.
