08 Tundra protective film on rear fender peeling?

I've had my Tundra since 12/07 and just recently I noticed a peeling on my right rear fender. It seems to be some kind of plastic coating or protective seal. Well whatever it is, it looks awful and I am just wondering if anyone else has had similiar problems and what they did to solve it. I was thinking of taking the truck back to the dealer and having them replace it. Of course I need time to do something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to take some pictures if I ever get off of this drilling rig.

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's concidered part of the paint but I was talking to a friend of mine who ia a Toyota Fleet Sales Manager and he says we have a 3 year warrantee on all paint on the vehicles. Try looking into that.

I talked to the dealership and they have ordered replacement protective film. I don't know if putting a new film will fix anything, it seems like the same thing will happen over and over again. I keep my truck under a carport and hardly ever drive it, 3600 miles in 7months. I will let them replace it and post an update.

Mine is doing the same thing. I will be taking it back to get replaced. All it dose is protect your paint from rock chips, which i need. Good to know they fixed it up for you.

I am still waiting to get off of work, but as soon as I do my truck is going straight to the dealer. They are going to fix the bubbles in the plastic coating, and replace a piece of the billet grill that they over-torqued which caused stress marks near the hex screws. So far I have had nothing but great cooperation from the dealer, except for all the phone calls wanting me to take a survey about service. I will post before and after pics when I get a chance.

There is no clear coat on these trucks The protective film is on the bottom front corner of the box side. it protects your paint from rock chips. I will post a picture if my truck isnt to muddy.
