yeah... I am pretty pissed right now! I do not have anything nice to say about Toyota right now. I still like my truck, just pissed about the paint and how Toyota has handled it. I have only had the truck for a couple of months, and I cannot afford to get rid of it at this time. I baby it all the time, and I have already waxed it 4 or 5 times now. I have never had to do that with any vehicle up to this point. I will keep it.... and bitch about the paint every chance I get.

There's Toyota's President's address and customer service department, WC-11. It may come in handy for some. I used it when I was having problems purchasing my Tundra. I'm also going to sign the petition as well.

In the mean time, for those who need touch up paint, try this website AutoVisuals.com – The Best Automotive Paint Touch Up Using the AutoSharp Pen . The stuff worked really well. I had to use it on my BMW M3's. Even though they had the best paint jobs of any car I've owned, the damn Houston truckers would occasionally throw rocks at my bumper and hood(Should have bought a clear bra for it when I first purchased them). I actually just ordered a paint pen for my Tundra, too. Not messy like the stuff with the brush. Goes on really easy and does a fantastic job at masking imperfections. There's a few reviews on E46 Fanatics: 3-Series, BMW Forums, BMW Modifications, E46 BMW and a little article. Anyway, hopefully this helps!

BTW, I thought I read this petition was only on two sites? Maybe we should make a list of Tundra/Toyota related sites and verify whether or not there's been a petition post made there, too? Maybe send it to editors or magazines? I'm sure Toyota wouldn't be too happy if major magazines or automotive review magazines ran stories like this. This way we're making sure it's being widely distributed and known.

Have a great weekend.

Here, added a link to the review from E46fanatics.com that's on Autovisual's site. There's some pictures of before and after, too.

No problem. A lot of people don't get it or it takes them a while to figure it out, lol.

Hey that ICE comes in a liquid clay bar now...I had a few scratches from a hose when I climbed into the bed to wash my roof and it took the little ones out, but c'mon...should a hose really scratch my TRUCK?

That liquid ICE stuff is crazy!! Yeah $20 for a bottle is high, but you don't need much and it is the TRUTH!!

We all agree that the paint should be more durable then what it is. I sent my complaint into the BBB, but the BBB was not any help in the end... From the BBB,"Toyota inspected customer’s vehicle on June 4, 2008 and found paint concerns caused by external sources and are not covered under Toyota's warranty. Customer not satisfied with Toyota's decision.
Our position remains the same - no assistance."

I seem to remember there was a company that produced lead painted toys via China, perhaps the BBB would like to report ...

"Lead ingestion by baby licking paint, baby died, result of external influence, no assistance"

Hmmm, seems some take responsibility of their products, and others dont.

I'm pissed off that simply locking my hard top on the bed, and people entering the truck has scratched and rubbed the paint off.. WHY OH WHY OH WHY put white primer under black paint.. I'm going to spray my truck in white (or line-x the whole truck!), so I'll never notice all the scratches...

by the way, the Paint Petition is now upto 146 signatures...
