Center Console won't stay close - TundraTalk.net

Today I went in for an oil change and I asked the service adviser about the issue I was having this past week about the center console not staying close or you have to slam it shut to grab. He stated there is a fix and Toyota already knows about it and the fix is replace it with a brand new one. Cost to part manufacturer just over $400. Toyota making the part company fix the problem by replacing everyone that comes in with an issue. 15 minutes to replace with 30 minute oil change. I was out and no questions asked how it happened. That's customer service.

Yes I do. I have that big center console where you can fit your laptop.

I have room for a small lap top also! Under the front center seat. I routed a switching station there that ties into 1 of the auxiliaries on my aftermarket Pioneer radio. You can switch from a remote TV, Lap Top, Playstation or whatever. The bummer about having bucket seats is your chick can't snuggle up to you and get a little familiar with Mr. Johnson if ya know what I mean.

So I guess I'm saying Mic, I have way more room than you up front!

Trucks don't have bucket seats! I'm not sure if you ever tried sitting in the bench seats but they are as close to bucket shaped as you can get and just as cumfy.

I guess this here makes the same. I has captain chairs. The two arm rests comes down.

Forgot to mention it's an EXT CAB another words DC. How do you feel now DEZ?

Mic I had captin's chairs on my 2000 Tundra and I kept the arm rests folded up most of the time. I do remember one thing about the CM I almost bought, it had the bucket seats and when I sat in the DC with the split seat I realized there seemed to be more space up front, and the center console was bigger with cup holders and compartments.

That console has alot of room. I hardly use it.
