Boch Toyota STAY AWAY
Hey guys just thought I'd fill you in on my experience Saturday with a terrible dealership. I've been looking for the right Tundra for about 1 month now and finally found one in Mass., I live in southern CT. Contacted BOCH Toyota salesman Rich and he let me know the truck was available and that I could test drive it when I wanted and he gave me a great price. I really wanted the truck so I put a down payment with my credit card on the truck on Friday, without even seeing it, and told him I'd take the 3 hour drive to Mass. on Saturday to take a look at it, DRIVE it, and finish up the paperwork. We set up a time on Sat. at 2:30 to meet and he confirmed it with me on Friday night at around 8 pm. I told him to have the truck ready to drive so I wouldn't waste much time. Got to the dealership around 2:45 pm and my salesmen wasn't there. I was told he was off for the day. The sales manager told me to speak with Keith regarding the deal and that he could help me. Keith had no idea what was going on. He finally found the paperwork on the truck and found that they had my credit card and it was charged for the truck, but that I couldn't drive the truck because the truck was 16 trucks deep in there lot and if I wanted to purchase it I would have to sign all the paperwork and come back another day. I explained I just drove 3 hours to buy this truck I put a down payment on and just wanted to drive it to make sure everything was okay. The sales manager told me there is no reason to drive a new truck. Most of his customers don't drive the new trucks because there new. They buy them and then take them home a few days later. I then asked the sales manager to call Richard, my original salesmen, and he said it wasn't necessary because he was in the back, but didn't have the time today to speak with anybody. I just want everybody to know not to even set foot in this dealership. In the end, I really started to get pissed and walked out of the dealership. The sales manager chased me down and asked me about my down payment. I told him it better be off my card within 48 hours or I'd be speaking with my attorney. The sales manager was so rude that in the end my brother asked him a question as to why they wasted my time and he said to him, "are you the one buying the truck, because if your not I don't want to talk to you." I was very surprised by the whole sitiuation and plan on writing to Toyota. I've owned 3 Lexus and 2 Toyotas and never have I experienced such audacity. I'll still buy Toyota, but not from that dealer. BTW the sales manager's name was Jason Arruda. His last name is so fitting!!

Boch Toyota STAY AWAY
Camaro1698,
I went to Southern Connecticut years ago and got my BS & MS from that great teaching institution. I have a great affection for CT. Having said that, why didn't you check on Boch Toyota or any other dealership for a Toyota at this link: BOCH TOYOTA - Toyota - Dealership Ratings I was living in Northern Maine and used that link to research the dealerships to contact regarding the Tundra I was looking for. I contacted the dealership in MA that had the highest rating from customers and gave them a try via Email and eventually made my purchase. This is their link: Acton Toyota Scion - Toyota - Dealership Ratings No deposit, no hassle, great customer communication. By the way, my legal address is still in MA, so when I contacted the Toyota dealership in my own town, they were the pits, And had a terrible rating at dealership.com. The dealership I actually went to was great! Just contact your CC company/bank and tell them your experience with Boch Toyota and send them a copy of your post. They will credit you your deposit, I'm sure. FredSG

Posts like this just reaffirms my resolve to never use a salesman again. I will only do the Internet deal from now on, hassle free, at least w/ the Corolla I just got. In and out in about an hour, with the test drive. Let em keep the truck!!

I purchased my 07 Tundra from Acton Toyota. Bill M. the internet salesman was awesome. No BS what so ever. I emailed over 15 dealers around New England and they had the best deal with no BS. Drove down, signed the paperwork, drove back to NH to get my plates and then returned to find the truck detailed and ready to go.
Remember that Mass will not issue temp tags to out of state buyers. You will have to sign the paperwork, take the paperwork back to your DVM and then drive back to pick up your car/truck. For me I saved over $4000, and the 1 hour drive each way was worth every penny. Email Bill M. and let him know what your looking for. Not all dealers are bad, but it is very hard to find a good one these days. Red Bull guy. |

Boch Toyota Norwood
I had a gotten a good deal on my Tundra Reg Cab this Feb after searching for one- Internet only. they were the the only dealer who kept up email contact and I got a good saleman, Tom M. who didn't fudge any numbers like I am hearing. Price was below the Consumer Reports guide as I checked 5 dealers total and added in any options. They gave me a decent trade in for my ancient gmc and it was done. no hassle no pressure, unless you want that type A salesperson! You got to do your homework at any dealer and the internet way clears a lot of clutter out of the deal-like playing poker-it's your money and knowing what the dealer price is before going in and say no to anything else. Haven't dealt with the service yet, but haven't found one yet that is more than average at best.

Mickey,
Either I didn't write it correct or you mis understood my post. I test drove my truck at Acton and had no problem doing it. Walked in and Bill handed me the keys and said come back when your done. He had the truck sitting out front, helped me put the baby seats in the truck and off we went. No milage limit or time frame to return. No issue what so ever. I was just pointing out, that once you buy the truck and you live outside of Mass, that you don't get a temp tag from the Mass. dealer. You have to take the paperwork to your DMV and then return to the dealership with your tags and then you can take the truck home. Just wanted to let other out of state buyers know what to expect if you buy from a dealer in Mass. For me it was not an issue, I live an hour north in New Hampshire but I saved over $4000. You have to price out your time and travel and see if you are saving money. As the gas prices climb it may not be a good deal if your only saving a few hundred dollars. I emailed and called Boch toyota, and got the run around. Acton Toyota earned my business and gave me a great buying exprience. I would never buy something that I didn't test drive first. ![]() |

Sorry for the misunderstanding. That's why I just transfer plates from the one I traded in to the new one.
