I have noticed it in real slow, under 5 MPH traffic. I just manually shift it into 1 or 2 and leave it there until traffic moves steady. I think the algorithm gets confused at low idle rpm and speed. Works fine at normal driving speeds, acceleration and deceleration.

When applying brake going downhill it is supposed to downshift to help braking with the engine.

Mine has done that a couple of times now. I was crusing along at 60 mph and the rpms was a little under 2000. I hammered it to pass a car. When I was down the road a ways, I let off of the throttle. Now it is reading 2,500 rpm at 60 mph. The transmission was stuck in 4th or 5th gear. No matter how much I backed off of the throttle, it would not upshift. I then put it in neutral and back into gear. It then worked fine after that.

I also think I might be having the "rumble strip" problem. It is kind hard to tell as our road around here are pathetic!

I too notice a problem with the shifting. It, to me, seems primarily at slower speeds. Like instead of shifting it stays in gear to long or shifts at weird times. Trying to figure out if it is the tranny or the way the truck is supposed to be. If anyone hears, holler it out!!

A coworker was having the same problem and he took it into the shop and the techs upgraded his computer and it seemed to have fixed his problem so far.

mine has the same issue, and I think it is normal. Maybe a bit of a pain, but I don't think it is going to cause any kind of damage to your truck.

Mine acts confuses at "almost stop, then go" but only after I've been rompin' on it. After I settle-down and go back to economy-style it's ok. When it's cold the shiftpoints seem to come later.
