I would try calling Toyota (actual headquarters) and see if they can give you more or even a longer warranty. Act very upset and dissapointed on the phone.

I wouldn't take the truck under any circumstances, but that's just me. Good Luck!

You have a couple of options you can go with. Naturally option one is to take it with the warranty. For the most part the warranty of that mileage is good. You see I have a lifetime warranty on my truck as long as I follow their rules. Costly. But the coverage was what I was after. As you can see, my truck is 9months old and I'm at 25,000 miles. So Lifetime warranty goes well with the mileage I put on. So if you're going to put alot of miles yes the 100,000 mile warranty is a good one for you. If you're only putting 12,000 miles per year your best bet will be look at another or have them come down or add something to the first one. In any event best of luck in any truck you get. Hopefully you won't have no issues.

What is so special about that truck that you dont want a brand new truck forget about that deal cause the harder they try to sell you that truck that means that this truck has some problem that it will surface later and they will find an excuse to get out of the warranty deal they offer you, they have a full bag of tricks at their disposal, whay they dont sell the truck to some poor sap that dont know nothing about wat that truck has been trough.

Pass on that no matter what they take off it. Do you want to drive around wondering which valve will drop next?

If the valve spring was broken, and the driver kept driving it anyway after the problem was noticed, that valve MAY seem ok, but it had to incurr some damage, be it carbon under the seat, or galled stem, whatever.
I'd shy away from the truck and look elsewhere, or demand at lot more warranty, and be sure it covers the valve train and associated parts. If the dealer doesn't want to bend over backwards to make you happy, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
