Well I can tell you that my name on here Is the name of my business. I own a driveline company here in Chicago. And I have helped out many that had axle troubles or driveshaft problems. And Ill continue to help who I can. Thats being mature. You on the other hand being argumentitive all the time and calling people racists like you did on another thread is being immature. Grown up young man. The question I asked you earlier about having a Dodge name on a tundra forum still stands ??? I just told u my story.

WOW! I drove 2 new 2008 Tundra's today with the 5.7L and both had the vibration when accelerating from a stop. I assumed it was normal since both did exactly the same thing. I don't think it's normal and I don't think I'm getting the 5.7L with the 6 speed trans after reading about all the issues with this motor and trans. I don't think the problem is fixed and I don't think there should be any vibrations when accelerating. The 1st Tundra I drove was the 4.7L/5speed. It drove like a luxury car to me and had no vibrations. HMMM! I just got rid of an F-150 with vibration issues that drove me crazy for 3 years. Not again. IT SEEMS LIKE THE 4.7L/5SPEED IS THE MORE RELIABLE MOTOR AND TRANNY. DOES ANYONE AGREE.

We used to own a 07 Sequoia and the driveline on it was the smoothes thing I ever drove. When I bought my 08 dc 5.7 I wish I would have bought the 4.7. Oh well. My tranny doesn't rumble however its engine braking feature is about to drive me nuts. I am going to try and drive in S mode for a while and see how I like it.
I hate a vehicle with tranny problems. Good Luck to whoever needs it. FM5 |

Okay, putting aside the hating and bashing each other, I still don't understand what exactly the problem is. Rumbling? WTF does that mean? My engine rumbles and roars but the drive is smooth. No vibrations. Can you be more specific about the problems? Can someone tell me what's going on? This is my first truck so I don't know WHAT to expect regardless if the engine came out 2 yrs ago.
