Question Noise from Suspension Components?

I hate to ask for help about a noise because it is always hard to describe and isolate the exact location. Nevertheless, there is a destinct "pop or metalic click" noise coming from my front suspension components I believe, not sure. It only happens when I am pulling off or backing up. It only pops once and it's gone when I am driving but the noise is definately there. I have heard the noise on both the driver and passenger side. I installed top gun's leveling kit and was wondering if something was not as tight as it should be. I have been running the kit for about 2 months and the noise just started. The kit made have nothing to do with it, but that's the only thing that is different from stock. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same problem with my truck being stocked. It only happens when I initially pull off. Plan to take it to the dealer to have them check it out.

Possible ball joint.

c_burd...let us know what the dealer says. I had a ball joint issue on my T100 after 200K miles, but that sound was noiceable even when driving over distances at slower speeds. This is different...I only hear it on initial pulling off or backing up and it's gone.

Mine does it. But I would say the noise comes from the co-pilots side.
Stock suspension.

Sounds like ball joints to me. Have it checked out and please post results. This could help others having those issues.

The only other possibility I can think of is the front bearings or maybe universals.

I have a 2008 crewmax with 500 miles on it and I have already noticed a pop or bang when coming to a stop and also while pulling out.

When I drive between 25 and 30 and on deceleration I here a noise that sounds like crickets when I drive over little bumps and dips, I will take it in to the dealer before I install my drop kit as im sure they will blame the drop kit for the problems. This isnt one single noise its constant over road vibration.

Mine sounded more like you had ran over a coffee can. But it quit after 3k. I have 13k and it doesn't do it anymore.

I guess I have an advantage being tall. I can access all moving parts and hit em with white lithium grease, this comes in a spray can and it sticks like glue and last quite a long time. Mine is as quiet as a mouse, that doesn't squeek.

This isnt a grease problem, something mechanical is wrong. I usually have my music up so probably never noticed it before. I just hope the dealer can figure out what it is.
