Someone posted a pic of a cracked stock upper A arm on another thread, perhaps there is some kind of stress going on down there.

I dont know, its only noticeable when at slow speeds and stopping. I looked at it and didnt see anything unusual so I will leave it to the experts.

Mine sounds like a dead shock in the front. A thourough inspection found no abnormalities. Guess I'll call the dealer.

It goes to the dealer tomorrow. I will report back on their findings.

Dealer says the rattle is coming from inside the dash. They have opened a trouble report with Toyota and said they will require the truck to be rescheduled back in for a week in order to have the truck fixed by the right tech who is on vacation for the next 2 weeks.

Seems I've read about this dash rattle somewhere?

Yamahauler reported a control arm cracked. That pic looks nasty and I'm going out to take a look at mine just in case.

I have the same problem with the "popping" noise on my 2007 model. The dealer replaced a bushing and thought they had it. I drove it home today and had the same noise. I am going to show this site to them to show that we are not alone. There may be a bigger problem here. I'll keep you up on the results.

Welcome Louisiana to a wonderful site and enjoy your Tundra. Sorry to hear about the noise. I was born and raised 15miles east of New Orleans in St. Bernard Parish.

I have 2008 SR5 Tundra DC 4x4 with 700 miles and there is a noise in front suspension when hitting small bumps, "clunk, clunk, clunk" type happening between 10 and 50 M/Hr is anybody with a update on this problem? When to dealer manytime for this and the answer is "it is normal". Seen similar problem in the pass with other car manufacture and it was coming from the sway bar rubber bushing. Any ideas?

I plan on visiting the dealer this week about the "popping" noise. Just curious has anybody else noticed the fuel guage reads about 5 gallons pessimistic? The light should come on wth 2 gallons left, but mine comes on with 5 to 7 gallons left. When I mentioned this to the "official" Toyota website, they said it's planned that way dispite what the owners manual mentions. All in all it's still a great truck and fun ride. I will let you know what happens at the dealer. - Mickey - I am from the other end of the state in Bossier City. Have a great day.

I have 3 Tunras here that we work with. All 3 show the same way with the fuel. Toyota tells us it's designed that way.

Mine goes in next week to fix the popping noise. They told me Toyota was aware of the problem but would not tell me what it was...just that it's not mechanical.

Louisiana I know exactly where you're at. Sis lived all over the state. Lake Charles, New Iberia, Baton Rouge. Her husband works for Lowes as a district manager

Well, my truck is currently back at the dealer for the popping noise. They are now telling me that they have other trucks that are making the same noise but have been unable to figure out what the issue is. Although I was told earlier that the factory was aware of the problem and it would be rectified this week, I'm now told that they have been in further contact with the factory and are searching for other solutions and with other dealers who may have seen this problem.

Update: The dealer called last night to report that they beleive they found the problem by placing the truck on "the chasis" and stated that it was the bracket that holds the wire harness to the cowl. It has been repositioned and they have asked to keep the truck for another day to get some drive time on it and make sure the issue is resolved.
I'll try to learn more when I pick it up.

Was your truck built in Indiana or Texas?
