Need HELP!!! Engine Immobilizer

I went to get breakfast this morning. Got there OK, but when I got back in the truck to come home, Nothing! The keyless entry worked to open the doors. I tried to start the engine and everything just died. No power at all! The keyless entry won't work anymore and no lights on the dash come on and when I try to start the engine I get nothing. I called my wife who brought me the spare key. When I got in the truck with the spare key, I noticed the door ajar warning light was on so I thought good this is going to work. But as soon as I put the key in the ignition, I died again.

Please Help? Does anyone know how to reset this thing? The dealer says I need to have it towed to the dealership. I haven't had this truck for a month and I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

I'm sure Toyota will make this right for you. Keep us posted on results and what caused the problem.

I just went up there and tried it again. Guess what, It started just fine. My bluetooth doesn't work now and all my radio presets are gone and all my other info was erased. Drove it home and backed it in (just incase it still has to be towed). Then I tried cranking it again and it did the same thing as before. When I turned the key in the ignition, it made a wierd noise and everything went dead. I will try it again in a while and if it cranks will take it straight to the dealer.

What it sounds like you have to bring in both sets of keys when you take the truck in. They will have to reprogram your keys. The codes aren't matching up or not making a connection.
