Same thing happened to me once last month and again last week. If I turn the radio off, then back on, it will start to work correctly. Tough to have the dealership troubleshoot an intermittent problem. I'll probably have to deal with it until just after the warranty expires. Then it will go out completely.

When it happens make the trip over to the dealership so they can see for themselves. Don't stop engine because you know by luck it won't do it in front of them.

My radio did the same thing, it was intermittent. When I was at the dealer to get the oil changed I mentioned it to them, the service guy knew what I was talking about and went ahead and ordered me a new one and replaced it the next time I was in.

My radio did the same thing. I had to use my steering wheel controls then I turned the car off when I got back in and started it up no problem worked again.

I personally never had that issue and I use all aspects of the radio. Xm works fine and Aux with mp3 works great. Also using the steering wheel controls 90% of the time.

I drive a Crown Vic at work and the radio goes up and down in volume without being touched. Does it in all of our cars.

My 07 had the same problem and Scott Clark Toyota called it in to headquarters. Later that day the guy called me to set up an appointment to put in a new one. Had the same problem again but it only happened once and hasn't happened since. My recommendation is to take it to the dealership and talk to the salesman you purchased it from. If they don't replace it, let them know that he could possibly lose a customer. Just a little more advice, go in with a good attitude. Nobody like to deal with the pissed off guy.

I had the same thing happen to mine before I even bought it! I had the truck home for a test drive and when I went back to the dealer to buy it the volume would not work. I told the salesman about it and he had the service dept put a new stereo in when they were getting it ready for me. He said the volume button let go inside, sounds like a common problem to me??

Cheap electronics... That's why it's easier to replace then bother with it. They will send it back to get refurbish and someone else will end up with it.
