Thumbs down tiny rust spots on 2007 tundra double cab

I just noticed today that both back doors on my 8 month old, white, 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab have small rust spots showing about 6 inches below the windows!!!!!!!

Anyone else experienced this? I tried to take photos but the rust spots are just small enough that the three digital cameras I have used won't focus on them perfectly.

I'm going to the dealer and they better hope to God that they tell me what I want to hear...

We have now a few threats about rust.
In one of them someone had little spots and was told that this was from the transportation on the railroad and they polished the truck.
Most people have rust on the bumpers!
Where are you located?

I'm in Charleston, SC and there isn't any SNOW here and I'm not sure what you are talking about with the railroads but I'm not driving on any of those either...lol

He's talking about rail dust. This happens in shipment of truck from the factory or port authority to the city of destination. What the dealership does is have your truck detailed and more than likely they will claybar your truck to make it feel smooth along with taking out all imperfections, i.e. rail dust.
I had this done on my 03 F-150 and 06 Silverado LT3. Both came out great.

Is it possible to get this "rail dust" on the rear? My tailgate has tiny rust specs, and my truck is only a month old.

I've noticed some rust spots on my bumpers but I have also noticed that with some chrome polish they appear to come off quite easy. The closer I look at the spots, although they initially appear as if it's the bumper, I have noticed that it appears to be some metallic/iron road deposit that has stuck to the bumper during the bad winter driving here in Ohio. I've had no problem getting those off. I have not noticed any spots on the vehicle itself, but I would try some liquid clay bar and try that first before hitting it with some compound.

Bumper rust

I have a 2007 tundra double cab. Both the front and back bumpers are starting to show rust spots. This truck has 5700 miles on it. I bought the truck in Minnesota new and live in Saskatchewan. I took the truck to my local dealer they are replacing both bumpers no questions asked. The dealership name is Taylor motors....Outstanding service.
