Blown Cylinder?

Ive had my 04 Access Cab (46,000 miles) for less than 300 miles and a little more than a week. I noticed yesterday it is running uneven and it makes i slight clicking/rattling noise when it runs anything faster than idling. Ive also noticed the power has dropped off a bit. Im hoping it is a timing issue and not something like a busted valve. It is going back to the dealer on Wednesday. Is there anything else that might be causing this?

I know just enough about engines to know i know nothing about them. I know how they work but not how to really fix anything. I dont even rotate my own tires because of broken 2 bolts trying to break the lugs loose. It is going to the dealership tomorrow but i hope it is a timing or spark issue. Anything else they have to tear apart the top half of the engine to fix.

They told me it is just intake noise which is normal in the 4.7. Ive still got the warrenty for 50 something thousand miles and it is in the computer and on paper that they looked at it so i guess it should be fine. I do like the 5.7 swap idea

You sure it's not in the valvetrain? If you blew a piston you'd know it for sure. Maybe a sticking valve or busted valve spring. Have a local repair place do a quick compression test on each cylinder and see what you come up with.
