For now, I sued these jerks!
In the future: Well, for now I am planning to drive this Tundra for several years. If I would need at this time a new vehicle, I would look at BMW or buy a 2nd VW Touareg. My wife has a 04 VW Touareg and guess what: NO rust. NO problems and if I go to the dealership, they are happy to see a customer and are professional! |

That's right.
On the other hand, you could be some pimple faced 14 year old twitch with a bunch of sticky Maxim magazines under your mattress. Maybe your only social outings are attending monster truck shows with your old man and your half witted brother. Or, maybe YOU are the half witted brother. Your old man, who maybe really isn't your old man may give you the back of his hand if you admire anything that isn't a Ford, which explains the sticky Maxims and this pathological hatred of Tundras. |

I think you just made his point....

Is that the way you respond to everything? Next time someone says their Tundra isn't all they thought it should be goneballistic, just stick your fingers in your ears and yell, "La la la la la la la la." It would be just as adult as your statement here. Sorry your having problems tawood. I'm having a few myself with my Tundra, but nothing like yours. Maybe your truck was made on a Friday. Have you thought about lemon law? |

Truck Dragin, why don't you go drag your truck somewhere else, or maybe, try reading posts in the context that they are made?

Hook, line, and sinker
Goneballistic:
You have held true to your sign on name and gone ballistic. And no, you are wrong and truck dragin is right, I baited you. Of course I don't expect EVERY Toyota to be flawed. OF COURSE, I called you a liar...to make a point. See how angry your statements got when I said your truck must have problems? Now imagine your truck does have problems, in fact lots of them. And then, your dealer trys to blame you for things like the paint coming off with a spray wash, or the windshield wiper breaking because you turned it on, or for your 8 year old son pulling the interior door trim off closing the door. You've never experienced ANYTHING like this with a car in your 41 years on this planet. Now imagine everytime you get on this web site and talk about them, you are called a troll, liar, etc. Now how mad would you be? It's funny, but I don't see people with truck problems(in any great volume) posting in the threads that talk about people having fun with their toyotas, or installing mods, or planning meets, or all the other things that people talk about on this web site. But, go through all the posts about people saying they have had big problems and are tired of the problems, and everyone comes out of the woodwork to say, "Well, I don't have problems, troll!!!" What are you all trying to defend? Your trucks honor, as toyota man says? I don't get it. |

I stopped for gas the other day, and an older gentleman approached me and asked how I liked my wonderful truck. I told him, I dont its a lemon, and told him all the problems Ive had. The guy actually acused me of working for another auto maker as a spy! |

Confusion runs rampant here doesn't it?
I don't recall you dishonoring my truck, but I do recall you questioning my veracity. My truck will run the same, good or bad, no matter what is posted here. If, truly I have one. There was no anger from me, in fact, you seem to be the one with the axe to grind. You don't seem to be looking for a solution, but you do seem to want to get over on anyone who challenges your viewpoint. If my truck were as bad as you claim yours is, I wouldn't be spending my time playing games on this board, "baiting"? Just put master in front of that, same thing. Like I said, there has to be an element of acceptance of what a post contains and of the poster's truthfulness. Otherwise we are all wasting our time here. That goes for those who have no problems, as well as those who do. The finger in the ears, la, la ,la, ect., that works both ways. Taking it with a grain of salt is always wise. Insinuating someone is a liar, just because they have a different experience than you, is asinine. No matter where you are coming from. BTW, when someone asks me about my truck , they usually also gush on and on about the Tundras. I explain that there have been some problem Tundras, some with serious problems, but I consider myself lucky because I have had none and it's a 1rst year production. I have talked to 2 '07 Tundra owners. One was driving a crewmax. I was filling up at the gas station and he was too. He used his for work, drove a lot on the road for the job, had 48,000 on it. Had nothing bad to say about the truck, loved it. The other was driving a DC with a fugly white topper on the bed. Don't know his mileage, but this owner had no complaints, either. I realize misery loves company, so now I'll leave you to yourselves.

For that matter, so could I. But I'm not. Nor do I believe tawood to fit that description. My point being, it's best to give someone the benefit of the doubt. The problem is, not only do many folks hear what they want to hear, they read what they want to read.

How's you Tundra "Gone"? I had this with "GET REAL". Like you I take it from when people write down what's happening to them is the truth from as far as we know it. Now I don't call anyone a troll or whatever I related it to my bad times with new vehicles "06 Chevy, 03 F-150, 03 Crown Vic, 97 Thunderbird, 92 GMC Sonoma. The only 2 new vehicles I had that to me considered problem free was my 98 Silverado 2x fix A/C fan rattled at 800 miles and then A/C compressor and pully tensioner at 95,000 miles. Also my current vehicle which for some don't like to hear I love it because it stays on the road. I had the pass mirror fixed because it wouldn't auto close everytime at 15,000 miles. I'm currently at 22,500 miles which is almost 2 years by most people. I travel in my truck, I carry things in the back of my truck all the time. Granted it's just the wife and I but when I had people with me I want them to be comfortable with me. The Crewmax does that. I take care of my vehicles by letting the dealership do all maintenance. Yes it's expensive so is unlead premium but I do it now. So if I finally have a vehicle that works all the time I consider myself lucky and I feel good about owning this Toyota. My wife got a Prius the same time and no issues with her car. This is the 3rd Toyota I ever owned. My first car was a 74 Toyota Corona SR5. 1800cc with a 5 speed and it had an ESP panel which to me was the best at the time. It showed you by light bulb when fluids were low i.e. Battery, Brake, Radiator along with overflow bottle, winshield wiper fluid. Also when lights burned out a red light would come on. When brake shoes wore down the light would come on before you got to metal on metal. To me at the time this was impressive. Only problem Hot Rodding it cause the shift to break 2x. At that time it took 2 weeks for a part to come in. Hell I was the only guy in New Orleans at the time with 13" 4 spoke Cragar SS with a 10" deep Cragar SS in the back along with lakewood traction bars. The 2 week thing cost me 4x so I decided to sell it and went with Chevy. So this is my first Toyota Truck in it's new production type with no issues I'm happy. But I wouldn't be in a TUNDRA if Chevy and Ford wouldn't have pushed me away with their customer service. Also I have mentioned it on other treads how to go about having customer service done or Lemon Law which is a waste of time but there. I've been there and done that. Everyone has the right to post here what they want and if you want to hear about my trips and how I'm enjoying my truck I would be happy to do so. I will be the first in line if I have a problem also. I do understand both ways here that's why you got it here in the forum. It can't be just for problems and it can't be just for us cheerleaders too. That's why both sides are represented here in the forum. This is how you get all the information for someone doing research in looking at buying a Tundra.

Cheers mickey , I had to drink one for you after that post ! This forum is for helping and learning about a truck we bought . I do not join the chevy , ford , or dodge forums to bash or bait people to start an argument !
If people don't like the tundra they purchased then take it up with thier dealer or Toyota , not the good people here ! Thanks to all who help fellow Tundra owners , Bill .
