Air Pump in the # 2 Bank

I just passed 3000 miles when the check engine light came on. I live 150 miles from the nearest Toyota dealer so it's a pain to bring it in. I made an appt. then waited for three hours for a tech to just plug it into the code reader. One of the service managers told me it was an air pump. I asked him where and which, but he didn't know. He told me to make another appt because he had to order the part but he didn't know when the part would come in. I asked him how long it would take to fix, he didn't know. I waited for so long I figured he could have done a little research.
I love my truck, but this got me a little pissed. Now I have to waste another full day to get it fixed. This issue will cost me about a grand in lost time (too bad the warrenty doesn't cover that). Has anyone else had this problem with the air pump in the # 2 bank?
