Well, since I lease this truck, they will loose either way!
I was planning to keep the truck after the 3 year lease, but with these rust issues (see as well "More rust") and the predicted fuel cost of $5+/gal in 2010, I properly just give it back.
I would loose the investments I put into the truck.
It’s a real pity, because my 03 Tundra had 0 problems and I loved it and I am happy with this truck beside the rust issues.
Either way, this was the last vehicle I purchase from Toyota!

Well, here the result of the court case:
The judge found, that it is reasonal even if it cost me about $45 and a half work day to see the factory rep, since otherwise the poor dealer does not get paid for the repair.
While this is against Maine law the judge did not give a ......
So, I will just don't do anything and will return the truck in Feb 2010 and walk away form a vehicle which gets 16-18 miles/gal and by then the gal will be $5.50-$6 anyway.
I also will put a sign on the tail gate: Do you love rust? Buy a Tundra and get treated like s*** by the dealer!
Oh, did I say already that I tell everyone not to buy a Toyota!

That's too bad about the court case . But not everyone has the issues as you do with your truck , I'm very happy with mine and have not had any issues so far other than mpg and I knew it was not an economy vehicle when I bought it .
Displaying a sign that basically says all Toyota Tundra's are bad is kind of silly . Every maker has a few bad vehicles and to single out 1 manufacturer is pointless . I'm sorry that you're so bitter and that you have had some bad luck with your truck , that does not mean all are bad .
Just get rid of it , and get something else and move on in your life to better things . Hopefully , you'll get something that you do like and be happy .

I hear yeah. I am not happy with Toyota either. I have been going rounds with them about my paint. After talking to the Toyota rep, I email Toyota again. They told me that they cannot do anything for me since the snot noised Toyota rep said it was not a warranty item. They will not conduct a professional inspection, and will not accept an independent opinion either. I really like this truck, but I am not impressed with Toyota at all. It starts at the dealer, and it does not change when you talk straight to Toyota. I am sure they are all the same!

ramoine, you're always there to defend toyota, why? just because other makes have problems too is no reason to defend toyota's disregard for its customer's wasted time, frustration and disruption. toyota seems to be highly invested in figuring out anyway to keep real problems off the books while it continues to spend millions on advertising.

i've had plenty of vehicles from other makes, yet this is my first toyota and the experience has been the worst i've ever had. has toyota considered a real commitment to making customers happy, or is it that they'd prefer (as you infer) that the really unhappy ones just go away (as a solution) because they got the infreaquent lemon?

In Canada, we call it "fall out", pieces of metal on the road surface, say off of snow plow blades, nothing a little polish can't remove.

My Tundra is my first Toyota and so far I have ZERO complaints. I have not seen a spot of rust anywhere and down here in Louisiana if you have an area on your vehicle without good protection it will rust very quickly.

Hey Whiner , You seem to be the only one on this forum trying to keep your rust post alive ! I come on here to learn and help when I can .
Show me any helpful posts you've made in the last 2 months .

I work from my home , are you jealous ? If you don't like me that's your problem and something you can PM with , I personally have heard enough of your whining about rust and that Toyota sucks . If you are really leasing your truck it would not be hard to get rid of it , take your losses and move on !

What a little boy you are , you're the 1 with wise a@@ remarks about Toyota and anyone who is happy with thier truck !
Go to a forum that is for the B!tchers and Whiners ! Unlike you , I own my truck , paid cash and am not a renter like yourself . I probably make alot more than you too working from my home . So as long as someone posts a bunch of pity for you nit's ok , but disagree God have mercy on thier soul !
All you post about is rust , if it was as bad as you say they would have replaced your bumper . So grow up take it like a man and go to another forum and start threads about nothing but rust like you do here and we " ll see how many people tire of your whiny a@@ !

Post what you wish , I could care less and hopefully this old rust thread will get deleted because you're the only one with this big of a problem and the only one who keeps bringing it back !
I'm done with you whiner , you can have your worthless thread back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
