Question Front Hubs not locking

I have a 2004 Tundra SR5, 4X4 access cab, 6cyl, 5 speed manual, 52,000 miles. The snow has started. We live on a private road with about 2 miles to a main road. My front hubs will not lock. Transfer case shifting OK, it will go into low range, but only in 2WD. I called the dealer about 25 miles away, and he can't see me for over a week away. I tried all of the usual tricks (been driving 4WD for too many decades to remember) I think somethings sticking in the hubs, but can't find any info on the net, The service guy at the dealership is not giving me any info at all. Any thoughts or quick fixes?

check to make sure the vacum lines that go into the differential are still on and not pluged I think theres two of them they should just be a clear hose running into the top of the differential.

Thanks hit em and jpnca,
I checked the vaccum lines this a.m. as well as what appeared to be some kind of actuator or solenoid mounted on the motor (firewall side). As far as I can tell (outside, and in the wind and snow) these parts look fine and attached to where they should be. I checked for obstructions and leaks using the old 2-lip method. I also found a fuse, which was still ok, in the driver's side dash labeled "4WD" . I am stumped because the truck has never been beaten. The manual hubs in my '86 Toy never had a problem in almost 20 years worth of driving in snow, salt occasional lake water submersion when launching or retrieving a boat. I was a bit skeptical when buying this truck with auto hubs. Has this ever been a problem area?

I thought AMC Eagles (remember them) used vacuum lines
to bring in the front hubs. A REAL pain in the rear and never
ending problems.

Die hard jeep owners converted to maunal locking hubs.

You're problems are just starting, MoonmanVT. Good luck
