07 Tundra Stalled

Went out to start my truck this morning and it started just fine but after about 4 seconds it dies. Without turning the key to the "OFF" position, I try to start it again but it just rolled and rolled without starting. Turned the key to the "Off" position and tried starting it again and it started but only for about 3-4 seconds before it died again. I did this for about 6 tries when finally I called Roadside assistance who were about to send a towtruck to come get it. While the operator had me on hold I went out and tried again. This time again it started and after about 3-4 seconds it almost died but picked it up and has been working fine ever since. The engine light never came on during this. I brought it to the dealership but they could give me no insight as to what happened and since the engine light did not come on, there would be nothing to check for.
As anyone have this happen to their trucks or can anyone shed any light on this situation? There is no remote start on this truck which was the first question the dealership asked me.

Thanks,
BJ

I don't know how gas engines accomplish this, but diesel engines have a time delay so that the lack of oil pressure at startup does not shut the engine down.
Either way, I would say that something is telling the ECM to turn off the engine. By turning off the key, you are resetting the problem so it starts again. Just something to think about until the real experts on here answer.

Thanks Guys, I did check connections under the hood that morning and I will check the MAF Sensor as suggested and thanks JackMS, I think you hit the nail on the head here...Hopefully we'll get more insight on this problem.

could also be low fuel pressure. either a bad fuel pump, or the gas cap as previously mentioned

Finally have the problem fixed. Cause on the Work Order was: "B2784 - Coil open short. Vehicle not bypassing security". They replaced an amplifier, P/N - 89783-06020

Hope this helps someone in the future who might experince this type of behavior.
