Has anyone found a solution to the bouncy, jittery ride experienced on the freeway (Dallas/ Fort Worth area). I have a Limited 4 x 4 w/ 20" tires. The dealer has since replaced my 20" tires with 18" but it has not corrected the ride.

I have an 07 SR5 4x4 TRD DC with 18"wheels. Yes it is a little bouncy on the freeway, but you have to remeber you are dealing with a 4WD truck that is designed to haul alot of weight in the bed. I have noticed it rides much better on asphalt than on concrete. its not a lexus ride, but its the best ride of a 4WD truck i have ever seen

all tundras have very heavy springs, good for loading and towing, not so good for limo ride, if you have the 20''s, try 32frt-32RR, the only other thing would be to get arear shock with more dampening.

I don't know where all of the ride complaints are coming from, this is a truck!! If you wanted a cadillac type ride,,, buy one! I sell Auto's for a living and for what this this is capable of it rides like a dream. Not ranting just putting things into perspective.

I have noticed the ride you are talking about as well, and no it isn't the typical "truck ride". This truck rides awesome in all areas except when the "bouncing" begins and when I say bouncing that's the only way I know how to explain it. You are litterally bouncing up and down in your seat. It seems to be on old cement highways that have been driven over time and time again by semis (I-80 is a perfect example in my case). I don't know if it's just the harmonic caused by the road when driving at certain speeds or what. It is annoying but as people here have already stated we are in a truck that is rated to haul and tow very heavy loads. I know certain people have contacted toyota about this and have been told their engineers are working on a fix for it. And trust me I'm not whining about the ride in this truck because everywhere else this is the best riding truck I've ever been in, but I can't agree with this particular issue being the typical truck ride. I know a lot of owners have never noticed it and I can't be sure that it isn't just the truck being so new(mileage wise)that the springs just haven't broken in fully. Either way I love this truck and can deal with this if it's the only thing to complain about.

i had the same trouble with my double cab long bed 2wd, but it only seemed to do it between 65 and 75, or until I switched lanes from the fast or slow lane toward the middle lanes, i commented to the dealer about it, and they also said they've heard similar complaints about it, and Toyota was looking in to it. They lowered 3psi on all tires and it took care of most of the problem it still jumps, but not as often. I understand is a truck, and I enjoy the ride quality on it, specially how crappy the roads are around where I live, but I can dare say is almost a Lexus like ride.

Same experience here. From the factory, my tires were at 42psig. Reset to 30 front and 33 rear and was much better. When pulling a trailer the ride is even better. Reduce your tire pressure and see what happens. If you are still bummed by the highway ride, buy one of those flat truckbed weights. I think they weight about 400lbs and lay flat so you can still use your bed and will make the truck ride smoother.

I have driven in DFW area with a 2003 GMC Sierra with 10 plys and with a 2006 Silverado with stock tires. Both are Z71 and I have the same problem with both trucks. I think it is because of the roads in DFW area. The concrete teh way it is poured is not as smooth as asphalt, not to mention the grooves to make even quiet tires on other surfaces make alot of noise.

O.K., I have to jump in on this! I just bought an '07 Tundra DC SR5 TRD, Mica (color), with 14mi this past weekend, and I've been driving trucks for over 25 yrs now. I've driven everything from modified Chevy K5 Blazers to my trade-in a '97 F150 Lariat 4X4, under any and all conditions ya'll can think of, from desert off road, rock crawling, hill climbing, fire wood hauling, boat towing, to everyday freeway commuting (insert chest thumping and grunting). And none of them have had a suspension as stiff as this. For me, the overly stiff suspension is my single biggest complaint. I'm getting used to the funky instro cluster and the bed, but the suspension is just plain bad. It is as if the engineers think all we do is drive with full beds of firewood and/or towing whatever. What others have said about concrete and asphalt surfaces is true, and no one should ever have to weight the bed for a decent ride (didn't say Cadi ride either). And no, it is not about "it's a truck, with an empty bed, or whatever else you want to convince yourselves about, this suspension is flawed!!! Ha, hell of a rant for a first post, I'm 50, retired military, I've earned it. Seriously though, this is a great truck, with the best stock drive train, I've ever owned, period. However, and everyone needs to understand this, it is a first gen truck, there will be teething pains, so, given time and if Mr. Toyota moderator, and the engineers are listening it will get better . . . I hope!!! No offense is intended to anyone, my wife says my PC and social skills require some polishing.
