Thumbs down Non JBL radio problem.

Just this morning I went to turn down the radio in my 07 DC and the volume would not adjust up or down. Tried differnet things with no result. Unit will turn off though! Should of paid the extra and got JBL w/nav.

I have noticed on every toyota I owned before this that the stock stereos were crap. The first, a '99 tacoma, had the cd player which would skip on literally every tiny bump. The second, an '05 tacoma, had the single disc player and the cd's would get stuck in it or when I loaded them the thing would just continuously try and load it until I smacked the face of it. Now I have the JBL audio system and so far I like it. But time will tell.

It continues - Now For Sale!

Center console Popping up after being replaced.

Very severe Rattle the can be heard outside the truck.

Interior is not of truck quality, Scratches way to easy.

Transmission still changes shift points randomly.

front chrome on grill flaking off ( plastic crap )

Paint scratches so easily I feel I fear washing it.

109 Speed limitation is a joke, And the truck now has the reutation of "Ya it fast but can't go over 109-118 depending on the model"

A-lot of hipe and very cool commercials are what sell this over priced truck, when you get down to it it really is not all that impressive... Just New! and once the newness wears off reality sets in!

Very bouncy ride, not at all a long trip truck.

I am glad so many of you are happy with yours and I hope you continue to enjoy them...As for me, 4 Sale!

You will lose your shorts if you sell. Look into the Lemon Law and try to get Toyota to buy it back.

My center console pops up too. It is a funny thing. I did notice the interior scratches easy also. Generally I love the truck though.

This one is for blackfoot01, is your truck one of the first ones out? I'm just curious why u are so upset about your truck. Everyone else seems to love their truck.

Then you must have missed several posts/threads..

If you read from the start of this thread, I was very patient and forgiving with these problems
BUT I live approx 1hr away from my dealer and I do not have time to keep taking back every
other week for repairs... Do they handle it professionally and stand behind it-- YES!! they do
but again it is still a major pain in the A$% to keep taking back and having to rent a car each
time they want to keep it over night ( they won't pay for a rental unless it surpasses 48hrs ).

Don't get me wrong I have had this for 6 months so beleive me when I say I have been patient
and forgiving, I initially put this all off to the 1st release troubles and figured it would be easily
solved.. BUT I now feel like a software beta tester trying to find all the troubles so the later
releases will be more stable.

I think it is a great truck and I hope those of you who have experienced only positive things
continue to do so, I would be curious to see how many of you who have had yours for a while
now have some similiar feelings as maybe it wasn't quite ready for release and maybe they should
have replaced some of the plastic with metal.. and even an extra coat of paint or at least a nice
sealer to prevent scratching, and even turned some hostile teenagers loose with a couple to see
what breaks!

Seriously for the $$$ spent to have the dream truck you thought you were buying, Nobody else
is slightly dissapointed????

Sorry about your luck, maybe you need a different truck for your use. We all have different needs!

Sounds like badluck Blackfoot, I've had mine for 3 months, tow with it, drive it everyday, aside from the tailgate issue, it's been great, ya its a bit bumpy on the concrete highways, but so is my friends f250 HD
