Tundra at NASCAR
Saw these Tundras at the NASCAR race at Sonoma this last weekend. If you look real close at the 3rd picture on the upper left corner, you can see a Tundra on a lift above the track. Along with the hundreds of Toyota Signs everywhere. Tundras were there in full force. All the drivers were driven around in the back of Tundras before the race. It was a great to see.

They chose the double cab because it offers loads of interior space as well as hauling all the important gear something that the crewmax's and rc's cannot do thats why dc's are the best

Tundra must be a big sponsor of NASCAR. When I called the Rusty Wallace Toyota over in TN about the Tundra I purchased used, it was at Bristal, TN in the in-field on display. He said it was the only SR5/TRD they had on the lot and even used with only 8k miles, it looked great. So, they had placed it on display there as part of their commitment to NASCAR. I had to wait 2 days for them to be able to retrieve it, clean it, and have it ready for me to test drive. I test drove it all the way home that night.

I believe they are a big sponsor. At least at this race. It was the called the Toyota / Save Mart 350.
They also had a few booths around the track with a few trucks and a few other Toyotas. One of them had a nice lift and I asked one the guys there about it. He didn't know a thing. He didn't even know what size lift was on it. Pathetic! ![]()

Toyota is a big sponsor with NASCAR. Toyota isn't stupid. They got cars in the sport for a reason, almost the same reason they built plants in Texas and Indiana. They sponsor the race to show that there trucks are as American as any Chevy and Dodge. They put a lot of money into the Lowe's Motor Speedway races.
As for the DC.....You will find that all of the .....well at least all of the saftey crews at Lowe's, are CrewMax's. Do you think they will add the supercharger to the pace car? I wonder what all they put in those. |
