Center Console LED. Why? - TundraTalk.net

Does anyone know the reason for the amber LED in the center consol? It only comes on when the headlights are on. A coworker told me his dealer said it was a mood light. Yeh right...

It's a light for the ashtry so you can see where your flicking your ashes if you smoke.

My moms lexus gx470 has several of them. They are so you can find the cup hoalders easily at night. I think they are a cool touch.

a great touch. i enjoy knowing where im placing 32 fluid ounces of liquid. not just going for it blind.

well done toyota,and to the engineer that made the center arm rest move backwards and forwards. hats off too you !

Mood light ? I thought it was a disco light. Wonder why it only comes on then your headlights are lights are on? Do you drink when your on the computer?

That honestly does not make any sense. obviously you do a little more than drink when your on the computer.
