My new 07 Tundra

Nothing special about this truck, other than it is the most kick ass truck ever built and it is my dream truck! Notice the blue cord hanging out the front? That is for the block heater and battery blanket for those really cold days.

Damn, I got the heat pumping for 10 months a year up here in Northern Canada.

I have to run the truck for 15 minutes every day before I drive. I wouldn't have to do that but I have an 18 month old that needs to be put into a nice warm truck, not a frozen solid truck.

I would like to put some fog lights into 'er. Gas up here is usually around $1.20 a litre (somewhere between $4 - $5 per gallon, I think) I get a military discount so I am getting about 15 cents off per litre. The truck did not come with snow tires, it came with all season tires. I plan on spending about $1000 this spring to get some good snow and mud tires just because most of my driving is in snow or mud (dirt roads) This truck seems to accelerate and stop very well in snow or on ice with the tires I have on it.

I will be putting a remote start in it soon. Toyota here wants to charge me about $800 for a remote start or $1000 for better one. Or I can go to Canadian Tire and buy one and have it installed for $200.

Ya, i would stick with a good local auto electronics shop for the remote start. Toyota's price on that is inflated, and a good remote start is as good as anything Toyota puts on, most dealerships bump up prices on that
